In the past 24 hours, seven new cases of the novel coronavirus have been identified in Croatia and two more people have died, the national civil protection authority informed on Wednesday.
“The number of new patients in the past 24 hour period is seven and the total number of patients who have been affected is 2,119,” Health Minister Vili Beros told a regular press conference.
To date, 41,053 people have been tested for the virus, with 1,080 tests being conducted in the past 24 hours. There are 206 people being treated in hospitals for Covid-19 and 14 are on ventilators. The total number of people who have recovered is 1,141, including 41 in the past 24 hours.
Beros informed that two people died in the Koprivnica General Hospital.
“They were two men, born in 1924 and 1932, and both had chronic diseases and were not on ventilators,” Beros said and added that there have been 85 deaths in all.
Beros said his ministry had sent a memo to medical institutions advising that in-vitro fertilisation procedures can be reactivated.
