North Macedonian Health Minister Venko Filipce said on Wednesday that in the last 24 hours, eight more people died from Covid-19 and 163 were newly infected with the novel virus, the Beta news agency reported.

He wrote on his Facebook profile that 359 people have died so far and that 7,406 have been tested positive since the outbreak of the epidemic.

There are 3,493 active cases according to Filipce, while. A total of 3,554 patients have recovered.

He wrote that in the last 24 hours, 1,794 people, have been tested in the last 24 hours, while a total of  71,220 tests have been performed so far.
