The official data showed on Wednesday that out of 8,752 people tested 99 were confirmed infected with the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, while two patients died from COVID-19-related complications.
The Health Ministry said the death toll stood at 716 and that a mortality ratio was 2.27 percent.
It added that a total of 571 patients were hospitalised on Wednesday, 39 of them on ventilators.
Since the outbreak of the epidemic in Serbia on March 6, a total of 947,298 people were tested, and coronavirus infection was confirmed in 31,581 cases.
