A total of 53 new cases of the coronavirus infection have been reported in Slovenia in the past 24 hours, two fewer than on the previous day, after 1,653 tests were conducted, and there have been no new fatalities, the government said on Twitter on Thursday.
Twenty-six patients are receiving treatment in hospitals, including four in intensive care. Three patients were released from hospital on Wednesday.
Since the start of the epidemic in the country, 3,032 people have contracted the disease, 134 have died and there are currently 486 active cases.
Among the new cases is a woman who works in a daycare centre in Celje, which is why four other members of staff and 12 children have been put in quarantine.
