German Interior Minister Horst Seehofer has said ten European countries have committed to the relocation of 400 unaccompanied minors who found themselves without shelter after the Greek refugee camp Moria burned to the ground, dpa reported on Friday.

Negotiations are under way with several other countries, Seehofer told the press.

“I’ve heard that the Croatian government has decided to take in a certain number of displaced persons and I consider that to be a nice gesture and humane step and I support it,” Croatian President Zoran Milanovic said during his current official visit to Germany.

Moria, infamous for its conditions, was home to over 12,000 migrants, four times its capacity. It burned down on Wednesday, leaving thousands of migrants out in the open for the third day now.
