Croatia ranks tenth among EU countries in terms of Covid-19 mortality, Public Health Institute director Krunoslav Capak said on Wednesday, announcing for the end of the week a decision to shorten isolation for those infected with coronavirus from 14 to ten days.
"Mortality in Croatia is about 55 per million inhabitants. We are tenth among EU countries, somewhere in the middle," Capak told Nova TV.
He said it was decided to shorten isolation for those infected to ten days, while self-isolation for their contacts would remain 14 days. He said this was in line with global trends and that he expected a document on that to be adopted by the end of the week.
