Croatian FM attends Globsec 2020 forum

Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Grlic Radman on Thursday participated via video link in the Globsec 2020 forum which focused on global recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic, the ministry said in a press release.

The forum in Bratislava is one of the leading conferences in central and eastern Europe, drawing foreign and security policy experts.

Participating in the "Western Balkans and European Neighbourhood post-COVID19" panel, Grlic Radman underlined the importance of enlargement for the EU's security and future, and again confirmed Croatia's support for enlargement to all Southeast European countries.

He reiterated that Croatia strongly supported the stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its EU journey, and that it actively pushed for the protection of the equality of Croats in BiH.

The minister also spoke of Croatia's EU presidency in the first half of the year.

The other participants in the panel were Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanyshyna, Bulgarian Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva, the deputy European commissioner for the neighbourhood policy and enlargement, Katarina Mathernova, and the EU special representative for Belgrade-Pristina dialogue and other Western Balkan issues, Miroslav Lajcak.
