Boating tourism has proved extremely resilient in the present year marked by the coronavirus pandemic and it is Croatia's great competitive advantage, the opening ceremony for the the 22nd Biograd Boat Show was told on Wednesday.
The show was organised in Marina Kornati in the central Adriatic town of Biograd na Moru by the Ilirija company, and will stay open until Sunday, October 25.
The CEO of Ilirija, Goran Raznjevic, said that the Biograd Boat Show was much more than an exhibition of vessels. “It’s a meeting point for all segments of the boating industry and tourism not just in Croatia but in this part of Europe,” he said.
Raznjevic said that the Biograd Boat Show was among the 36 most important boating fairs in the world, the leading such show in Central Europe and the largest one in Croatia, making Biograd na Moru the centre of nautical tourism in the Croatian Adriatic.
