Healthcare authorities in Bosnia have reported on Friday that at least another 1,449 people have tested positive for the coronavirus and another 30 passed away due to Covid-19 in the previous 24 hours.

Of the 2,540 people tested in Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) region since Thursday, 801 were positive and another 21 died due to COVID-19, the FBiH Public Health Institute said.

The other semi-autonomous entity, Republika Srpska (RS), saw another 648 coronavirus cases among the 1,227 samples tested. Nine people passed away due to the disease in the RS Since Thursday.

According to the Ministry of Civil Affairs, 48,137 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Bosnia since the beginning of the pandemic and 27,870 of them have recovered so far.

The Covid-19 deat tll is 1,212.

There are currently 19,055 active coronavirus cases in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
