The Croatian Chamber of Agriculture (HPK) is pleased that agricultural production in 2020 grew by 4.7% from 2019, reaching nearly HRK 19 billion, and believes that the positive trend will continue, HPK said in a press release on Tuesday.

On 28 November, the national statistical office (DZS) reported an increase in net value added and productivity of close to 10%. The real income index in agriculture per annual work unit was estimated at HRK 57, 838, an increase of 10.9%.

The HPK congratulated all farmers, agricultural producers and companies in the agricultural and food making sectors for this success. It also welcomed the efforts by the Ministry of Agriculture and its agricultural policy and intervention measures that have helped agricultural stakeholders to overcome this pandemic year and wrap up 2020 in the green.
