Serbia's Health Ministry said on Wednesday, that over the last 24 hours, 52 patients died of the coronavirus-related ailments, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,704 while out of 22,069 tested people 7,919 were confirmed infected with the coronavirus.

A mortality rate stood at 0,89 percent.

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, 1,822,488 people have been tested, and 191,356 samples have come back positive.

The Ministry said that on Tuesday, 7,611 patients were hospitalised, and 270 of them on ventilators.
