The Croatian prosecutorial authorities specified that the Afghan national had agreed with several unidentified persons to illegally transfer a larger number of aliens across the state border from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Croatia and then into Slovenia for a price of €1,000 per person.

After bringing the irregular migrants across the border from BiH to Croatia he made a deal with the Pakistani to find a driver to transport the migrants across Croatia, the prosecution added.

The Afghan citizen, USKOK notes in the indictment, organised the takeover of the foreign nationals in the vicinity of the BiH-Croatian border and their transport to the immediate vicinity of the Croatian-Slovenian border.

The two defendants smuggled 51 aliens in nine rounds in the period from 14 October 2020 to 5 March 2021, and 42 of them were then smuggled into Slovenia.

USKOK demands that the two defendants be remanded in custody.
