This man-made underwater structure, which consists of eight concrete blocks, was set up by divers of the AQZA SUB company. It is designed to help preserve marine life, promote underwater activities and protect fish and shellfish resources at risk.

The project was conducted by the county department for tourist industry and entrepreneurship, as part of the  "SmArtFish" project within the Interreg V-A Italy-Croatia 2014-2020 programme.

The first artificial reef of this kind in the Croatian Adriatic region was set up in Zadar County.
