The Bosniak National Council (BNV) on Wednesday condemned the decision of Croatian President Zoran Milanović to decorate units of the Bosnian Croat Defence Council (HVO) who took part in Croatia's liberation.
The BNV said that Milanović’s behaviour and actions when it came to Bosniaks and decorating units which, according to the BNV, were linked to war crimes, deserved to be condemned.
We do not see a correlation between amendments to the election legislation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and decorating units which, in our opinion, included war criminals, the BNV said in a press release.
Stressing that Croatia’s president worsened the country’s policy on Bosnia and Herzegovina, the BNV presidency has decided to no longer invite Milanović to their events or to ask him to sponsor any.
