Over the last 24 hours, 37 patients died from COVID-19-related complications and out of 16,693 tested people, 4,810 were infected with the coronavirus, Serbia's Health Ministry said on Thursday.
To date, COVID-19 claimed a total of 5,345 lives with a mortality rate of 0.88 percent.
On Thursday, 7,509 patients were hospitalised, of whom 291 on ventilators.
Since the epidemic outbreak in March 2020, 3,441,136 people have been tested, and 605,406 samples have returned positive for the new virus.
