Health authorities in Serbia's northern province of Vojvodina said on Tuesday that virtually all of Serbia’s northern province faces a serious epidemiological situation with mainly people aged 30 to 50 infected with the coronavirus.
The provincial public health institute said that 44 of the 45 municipalities and cities in Vojvodina had declared an emergency situation. A press release on the Institute web site said that there were 1,149 new cases were confirmed over the previous 24 hours, including 328 in the province's largest city, Novi Sad.
“The Institute considers this situation highly unfavorable and expects the epidemic wave to continue,” a press release said.
