Coronavirus: Serbia reports 40 deaths, 6,462 new cases

The Serbian Health Ministry said in its daily 3:00 pm bulletin on Friday that 40 people died of coronavirus-related ailments over the previous 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 7.966.

It said that 21.290 people had been tested over the previous 24 hours, including 6,462 who tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

The total number of people tested to date stands at 5,519,631 with 899,485 confirmed cases.

The bulletin said that there are 5,401 hospitalized cases, including 201 patients on ventilators.
