Coronavirus: Slovenia reports 1,143 new cases, 6 deaths

The deterioration of the epidemiological situation has forced the authorities to impose stricter anti-epidemic rules since Wednesday.

Also, the vaccination rate of adult Slovenians is only at 54 percent, which made the government announce a vaccine mandate for all government employees in October.

The state administration staff in Slovenia will be required to get vaccinated against coronavirus, and negative tests will no longer suffice for them to be in their workplace.
