The Croatian Army early on Thursday afternoon started installing containers for the temporary accommodation of civilians in villages in the Glina area, hit by a 6.2 magnitude earthquake on Tuesday, the Defence Ministry said.
The containers come from Croatia's commodity reserves and some have been donated by Austria, the ministry said.
The installation of containers will continue in the coming days.
