Varteks clothing company, based in the city of Varazdin, on Thursday presented a novelty on the Croatian market - a men's suit with antiviral coating which, the company claimed, kills over 99 percent of viruses within two hours, but noted that it did not provide full protection against infection.

This is a technological innovation in textile manufacturing called ViralOff, developed by the Italian company Marzotto in cooperation with the biomedical company Polygiene.

This technology is a milestone in the treatment of new materials and the health safety of consumers, Varteks said.

The suit is made of 100% virgin wool, and the antiviral coating eliminates viruses from the fabric within two hours, the company said, noting that the coating does not provide full protection against infection.
