At the proposal of Karolina Vidovic-Kristo (NZ), the Croatian Parliament paid tribute to the victims of the Srebrenica genocide, on Monday, with a minute of silence.

May they have eternal peace and may such a crime never happen again, said Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandrokovic, accepting the proposal of the independent MP.

He recalled that there was already a commemoration for the victims of Srebrenica in the Parliament, and it was organized by the representative Ermina Lekaj-Prljaskaj.

The crime in Srebrenica is the most horrible crime since World War II, and it has not been adequately punished, said Vidovic-Kristo, recalling that the crime was committed by Serb troops and that many politicians still deny it.

“Regarding Sunday’s 26th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica, I call on all of us to pay tribute to the victims of the genocide in Srebrenica committed by Serb troops,” Vidovic-Kristo said, Hina reported.
