Every county will decide on its own about returning pupils to classrooms next week and most are in favour of normalising education, Jutarnji List daily reported on Tuesday.
Education Minister Radovan Fuchs met with epidemiologists yesterday and they concluded the epidemiological situation among pupils was good enough so that schools could gradually reopen as of next week.
They agreed that, as until now, counties would decide on that locally, in consultation with local civil protection authorities, school principals, and the ministry.
County heads will meet with local civil protection authorities and epidemiologists this week and then decide on how classes will be held. A number of county heads told Jutarnji that, owing to the good epidemiological situation, they were in favour of reopening primary and secondary schools next week already, which is also advocated by principals.
