Croatia's Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlic-Radman announced the continuation of financial support for Bosnian Croat projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina after visiting the University Clinical Hospital (SKB) and Croatian National Theatre (HNK) in the southern city of Mostar on Tuesday.
“The Croatian government will dedicate special attention to further financial support through the Central State Office for Croats Abroad so that we can maintain and finance the further construction of this theater which is essential to preserving the Croatian identity in this city and elsewhere in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Grlic-Radman told the media after meeting with HNK director Ivan Vukoja.
Grlic-Radman explained that HNK’s management wanted to complete the construction of the theatre because now they were literally performing in a basement. “Croats need to have their own national cultural institution,” Grlic-Radman added.
He added that in talks with the director of the SKB hospital in Mostar, Dr. Ante Kvesic, they discussed the problems facing the hospital.
