Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic on Sunday extended condolences to Indonesian President Joko Widodo over the crash of a Sriwijaya Air passenger plane in which 62 lives were lost.
Plenkovic wrote he was “extending deep condolences to the friendly Indonesian people over the tragic loss of numerous lives” on his and the government’s behalf.
The Sriwijaya Air Flight 182 disappeared off the radar on Saturday at about 2.40 pm local time, about four minutes after taking off from Jakarta. Rescuers have located the plane’s black box, northwest of Jakarta, on Sunday.
“In these difficult moments, our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of those killed in this tragic accident,” Plenkovic wrote.
