The 43rd edition of the Interliber book fair was formally opened by Deputy Prime Minister Boris Milosevic, with the event running through to 14 November at the compounds of the Zagreb Fair (ZV) in accordance with strict anti-epidemic rules. Pročitaj više

At the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Milosevic spoke about the importance of books and reading notably during the lock-down caused by the COVID pandemic in 2020 when books “were a tool for keeping in touch with normalcy against a background of the so-called ‘new normal,” he added.

Milosevic congratulated the organisers for the event, and Zagreb Mayor Tomislav Tomasevic added that this was the most important book fair in the City of Zagreb and Croatia and that it has gained international renown.

“This 43rd Interliber is specific in many things. Two years had to pass before we could open it, and we can say today is a holiday for us,”  said ZV Director Dina Tomsic.

The fair has brought together more than 230 exhibitors from 14 countries: Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, France, Croatia, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, USA, Slovenia, Serbia, Spain, and the UK.

Access is free. Visitors are required to produce a COVID certificate or negative test. They can take rapid tests at the premises of the ZV for a price of HRK 50 (€7).
