The Montenegrin Red Cross has sent aid for the people of Croatia affected by the 29 December earthquake - heaters, bedding, mattresses and jackets worth over €30,000, the charity said on Tuesday, adding that the aid came from its own resources.

The relief will be delivered to the Croatian Red Cross centre in Petrinja.

The Montenegrin Interior Ministry’s Directorate for Emergencies has also sent bedding, sleeping bags, blankets and mats which will be delivered to Croatia’s Civil Protection.

Also today, the Croatian National Council of Montenegro will pay €7,825 into the Croatian Finance Ministry’s account for Croatia’s earthquake victims raised by 15 January.
