The Red Cross said that by 14 January, 67,564 individual donations, worth HRK 43.2 million in total, had been paid for quake victims following the Red Cross appeal after the 29 December devastating earthquake hit central Croatia and killed seven people in Sisak-Moslavina County.

The Red Cross said that what the quake-affected areas needed the most now were heaters, power generators, extension cords, blankets, protective covering, Bunsen burners and winter clothing.

So far, the Red Cross has distributed 1,557 heaters, 1,841 blankets, 110 generators and other items to people whose homes were either destroyed or damaged in the disaster.
