In the last 24 hours, there have been 3,662 new cases of the infection with coronavirus in Slovenia with the test positivity rate of 38.1%, and the infection has taken 16 more lives, the Slovenian health ministry reported on Saturday morning.
There are currently 35,216 active cases in the country. Of them, 748 are hospitalised patients, including 175 placed on ventilators.
Slovenia's 14-day incidence rate per 100,000 inhabitants is 1,671 cases while the seven-day incidence rate is 2,780.
Also, 53.3% of the population have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
As of Monday, Slovenia ramps up restrictions to combat the virus.
