In 2020, Croatia's state-owned lottery Hrvatska Lutrija spent a total of about 100 million kuna (€13.2 million) on various charities, sports, and cultural events, the company said in a press release reported by the state news agency Hina on Thursday.
Another 315 million kuna (€41.7 million) was spent on prize winnings, including 75 million kuna (€10 million) pre-tax payout for the single biggest won in a game of Eurojackpot, which is a pan-European lottery organised and ran in 17 countries across the continent.
They added that January 2020 was the luckiest month of the year, as players won seven major prizes in that month.
In 2019 Hrvatska Lutrija reported 637 million kuna (€84 million) in total revenue, with a net profit of 54 million kuna (€7 million).
