Also, during the latest Christmas and New Year holiday season, a total of 23,000 visitors were registered, or 15% of the statistical data in the corresponding period in the previous year.

Domestic guests accounted for 63% of overnight stays in this holiday season, while of foreign travellers, most were Germans and citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the USA and Slovenia.

The top destinations during the last holiday season were Zagreb, Split, Rovinj, Opatija and Dubrovnik.

In the entire 2020, there were 54.4 million overnight stays, and foreigners generated almost four fifths of those nights, while Croatians made up 20.8%.

Visitors from Germany topped the list, and were followed by Slovenian, Polish and Czech guests.
