Last week the value of fiscalised receipts was 41.13% higher in comparison with the same week last year and 16.35% higher than in the same week in 2019, the Tax Administration said on Monday.
In the week of 20-26 December this year, 38.9 million fiscalised receipts were issued, 51% more than in the same week last year, and they totalled HRK 3.94 billion.
In trade, the number of fiscalised receipts issued jumped by 31% to 24.5 million, while their value was also 31% higher, totalling HRK 2.9 billion.
In hospitality and tourism, the number of receipts issued totalled 4.8 million, up 549%, and their value totalled HRK 240 million, up 345%. On 28 December last year, COVID protocols were restricted so bars had to close and restaurants could only prepare food for delivery.
Compared with the week of 20-26 December in 2019, this year 5.6% more fiscalised receipts were issued. In trade, 12% more receipts were issued and their value was 14.4% higher, while in hospitality and tourism, 22% fewer receipts were issued and their total value was 14% lower.
The Tax Administration also compared data on fiscalised receipts issued between 22 February and 26 December this year and those issued between 24 February and 27 December 2020. Croatia registered the first coronavirus cases on 25 February 2020.
This year 24% more receipts were issued (a total of 1.93 billion) and their value was 26% higher at HRK 181.3 billion.
Comparing the period between 22 February and 26 December this year and the period between 25 February and 29 December 2019, 6% fewer receipts were issued but their total value was up by 5%.
