Zagreb City Assembly holds founding session

The new 47-seat assembly of the Croatian capital city held its founding session on Thursday, with Social Democrat Josko Klisovic being appointed the assembly chairman.

Klisovic’s appointment was supported by 43 councillors, and three voted against.

The two vice chairpersons from the ruling majority are Teodor Celakoski of the “We Can” and “Zagreb is Our” bloc and Ivana Kekin of the New Left party.

The two vice chairpersons from the Opposition are Mislav Herman of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) and Igor Peternel of the Homeland Movement (DP) party.
