Tobacco manufacturer British American Tobacco (BAT) announced it would add more jobs to its operations in Croatia this year, the company said in a press release on Thursday (March 1).
The company added 200 people to its workforce in the country last year, bringing the number of people it employs in Croatia to 1,700. In its main plant in the country, the tobacco factory in Kanfanar in western Croatia which BAT acquired after buying the local tobacco giant TDR in 2015, the company currently employs more than 550 people, including 150 new jobs added last year.
BAT plans to add more jobs to Kanfanar in 2018, the company said, and added that there is a currently a number of openings for positions in engineering and technology.
