It continued to snow in continental parts of central Croatia, with the town of Gospić receiving 17 cm of fresh snowfall on Monday morning (March 19).

Although coastal areas are still mostly dry, with rains in some parts of the Dalmatian hinterland, strong north-eastern wind is present in the northern and central Adriatic, limiting or disrupting road traffic in some of the most affected areas.
The wind is expected to increase and spread along the entire coastline, and will peak on Wednesday with gale force gusts. Around the same time, snowfall is expected in most of the continental areas, with showers along the coast.

Rainy weather is expected to subside by later in the week, with temperatures rising again. Until then, fresh snow is likely, especially in mountainous areas, where up to 50 cm of snowfall is expected in the coming days. Strong northerly wind will contribute to the chilly atmosphere.
