More than 74,000 tourists visited Croatia over the Easter weekend, according to data from the digital registry e-visitor, the national tourist board (HTZ) reported on Tuesday.
HTZ said the data refers to arrivals for Friday, Saturday, and incomplete results for Sunday. Most overnight stays were from visitors coming from Germany, Italy, Austria, and Slovenia.
Among the most popular destinations were Dubrovnik in southern Dalmatia, Poreč, Rovinj, and Opatija in Istria, and the capital, Zagreb. The most popular county was Istria, with almost 22,000 visitors.
