Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK) will open its office in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on Monday. Head of HGK, Luka Burilović, said the goal of having the Mostar office is to help local companies enter the Croatian and EU markets.

“Croatian companies have been present on the Bosnian market for a long time, and they feel at home here, and it is our job to use the chamber (of commerce) to lobby for their business dealings to be made easier and help them with the challenges they encounter,” Luka Burilović said.

He added that the opening of the Mostar office is yet another step towards the strengthening of Croatian exports, as well as its sustainable long-term economic growth.

Burilović will also visit the International Economy Fair in Mostar, held from 10 to 14 April. Some 20 Croatian companies will present under the sponsorship of the HGK.

A conference of the Forum of the Adriatic and Ionian Chambers of Commerce (AIC) will be organized at the fair. AIC, a transnational non-profit association, links the chambers of commerce of countries on Adriatic and Ionian coasts: Italy, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mentenegro, Slovenia, Greece, and Albania.

The focus of the conference will be the future challenges facing the region, especially in the sectors of energy and digital economy.
