The decision on the extradition of Ivica Todoric to Croatia will be reached on Monday, at 12.30 Central European time, Westminster Magistrates Court said to N1.
Todoric was arrested in London on 7 November last year, and released that same day on £100,000 bail. The judge released Todoric on condition that he handed in his passport, wore a security bracelet, and reported to the police three times a week.
Todoric, along with his two sons and 12 of Agrokor’s managers and inspectors, is under investigation in Croatia over the debt crisis in Agrokor, a food and retail conglomerate which has been under state-appointed management since April.
The former owner of Agrokor has rejected the claims of his involvement in the company’s collapse, saying that Croatia’s high officials were leading a politically motivated smear campaign against him.
The Zagreb District Attorney Office opened up another investigation, late last year, into Todoric and another seven people over malversation with illegal promissory notes, which created damages for the investors of about 47.5 million kuna (€6.41 million).
