Justice Minister Drazen Bosnjakovic is on an official visit to Romania on Monday and Tuesday, where he is to meet with his Romanian counterpart Tudorel Toader, and visit the Senate and the Chief State Prosecutor’s Office, said the Croatian Justice Ministry in a press release.
The visit is aimed at stepping up relations given the current objectives of the two ministries, the press release said.
Bosnjakovic will hold talks with the Vice President of the Romanian Senate, Adrian Tutuianu, the Chief State Prosecutor, Augustin Lazar, and the president of the Supreme Court of Cassation, Iulia Cristina Tarcea.
The talks would focus on preparations for Croatia’s presidency of the Council of the EU, modernisation of the judiciary and the exchange of experience regarding national legislation.
Croatia’s delegation will also visit the National Institute for Magistracy and the Jilava penitentiary.
