The Croatian National Tourism Board (HTZ) will present Croatia's tourism services at the Arabian Travel Market, an international travel and tourism event held in Dubai.
This year, the Arabian Travel Market celebrates 25 years as the leading global event for the Middle East travel industry.
The purpose of the event is to unlock business potential within the Middle East for inbound and outbound tourism professionals. It is expected to bring together approximately 40,000 representatives of the tourism sector from around the world.
The fair was visited by the Croatia’s Tourism Minister, Gari Capelli, and HTZ Director, Kristjan Stanicic. They have held talks with the director general of Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, Helal Al Marri, who commended Croatia’s approach to the development of tourism, saying Croatia’s example was used in drawing up a strategy for conquering the tourism markets of South Korea and Japan.
According to the HTZ, more than 8,000 tourists from the United Arab Emirates visited Croatia last year, which is a 78 percent increase compared to 2016. Overnight stays increased to some 23,000, 72 percent more than in 2016.
