An estimated 10,000 Croatians, gathered under the slogan "All human rights start with conception", participated in a peaceful pro-life march which was held in the centre of Zagreb on Saturday morning.
Anti-abortion activists set out from the city’s Franjo Tudjman Square to the central Ban Josip Jelacic Square.
“We want to send a message to every mother that she is not alone. The right to life is a fundamental human rights and a prerequisite of every human and civil right,” the organisers said.
“We want to call on everyone to join us this year too and support every family, mothers and father who are battling life problems and for that reason they are bringing into question the life of their child,” they said.
Apart from Zagreb, where it was held for the third time, pro-life marches were also held in Split and Rijeka.
