Croatian Interior Minister Davor Bozinovic will visit Israel, Romania and Germany this week, meeting with their security and interior ministers, as well as those of the United States and Austria.
At the International Homeland Security Forum in Jerusalem on Tuesday, Bozinovic will meet with Israeli Public Security Minister, Gilad Erdan, to share information and discuss cooperation in the fight against crime on an international level, as well as terrorism, and the prevention of drug smuggling.
On Wednesday, Bozinovic will take part in the Forum which will address global and domestic terrorism. He will also meet with United States Secretary of Homeland Security, Kirstjen Nielsen.
Bozinovic will then attend the Salzburg Forum Process Ministerial Conference in Bucharest on Thursday and Friday, where he is expected to meet with Austrian Interior Minister, Herbert Kickl.
On Friday, he will meet with German Interior Minister, Horst Seehofer, in Berlin to discuss migrations in the Western Balkans, the creation of the common European asylum system, EU’s external border protection, and Croatia’s prospective membership of the bloc’s passport-free Schengen area.
