The 64th edition of the Split Summer Festival will open on 14 July with a performance of "Nabucco" in Peristil Square of that biggest Croatian Adriatic city.

During the month-long festival, operas, concerts, ballet performances, poetry readings and exhibitions will be held at several venues.

On the programme are three operas, ten plays, eight ballet performances and seven concerts, festival director Goran Golovko has said recently.

Apart from Split, a few nearby towns will host Split Summer Festival events as well.
