The tenth, and final, edition of Soundwave festival, one of Europe’s most diverse and intimate music and art festivals, began on Thursday in the Adriatic town of Tisno.

One of the festivals that kick-started the whole music festival scene in Croatia, Soundwave became famous for its diverse, open-minded crowd and a relaxed atmosphere in which artists often begin impromptu gigs.

Soul-infused sounds, ranging from reggae and hip-hop to house and drum & bass, are as much of a highlight as The Garden Resort, a beautiful, secluded bay where visitors party on three different stages, each with its own unique setting, as well as on the historic, wooden party boats.

“This has been an emotional journey and we are ready for 2018. We are looking forward to the last Soundwave and we’re proud of this year’s line-up. We received a lot of support in making this decision and it seems that many familiar faces will return this year so that we can say goodbye to this festival the way it deserves,” said Rob Waller, one of Soundwave’s founders.

This years sees the celebration of the final Soundwave Croatia with a line-up that brings together world-famous artists as well as new, undiscovered artists. Partygoers will enjoy the music of headliners Loyle Carner and Mr Scruff, as well as Submotion Orchestra and Children of Zeus.
