Inside Out, a unique musical project featuring the I.N.K Experiment percussion duo, the Chui jazz quartet, and a robot orchestra, will be performed on Saturday, August 4, as part of this year’s Dubrovnik Summer Festival.
The free concert will begin at 21.30 with an interactive performance by I.N.K Experiment Duo and the robot percussion ensemble Chimères Orchestra.
Chimères Orchestra, created by French authors in the Reso-nance Numérique collective, is an artistic installation that includes percussionist robots, shaped like insects and attached to urban structures, which tap to create rhythms, moving from chaos to harmony, following different styles: tribal, frenetic, offbeat, and so on. The robots were first used in 2011.
Percussionists Ivana Kuljeric-Bilic and Nikola Krbanyevitch make up the I.N.K Experiment duo, which blends classical music with new styles, and is known for its spontaneity and flexibility. The duo has performed on international festivals in Germany, United States of America, France, and so on.
A young Croatian jazz quartet Chui will perform at Orsula Park at 23.00. Chui has, with a unique combination of club dance music and jazz, and an uncompromising rock’n’roll attitude, reached cult status in Croatia, with the critics singling them out as leaders of Croatian jazz scene’s rebirth. Chui will be joined by the I-N.K Experiment’s percussionists Ivana Kuljeric-Bilic and Nikola Krbanyevitch.
More information about these unique performances can be found on the Dubrovnik Summer Festival’s website.
