Croatia's gross international reserves amounted to €16.7 billion in June 2018, up by 19 percent or €2.7 billion year-on-year, with Raiffeisenbank Austria (RBA) analysts expecting them to reach €17 billion by year's end.

Compared to May, the gross international reserves went up by 0.5 percent. According to central bank projections, the gross reserves fully cover current liabilities to foreign creditors due to mature by year’s end, which amount to €5.7 billion.

“The current amount of international reserves is sufficient to successfully finance any possible deficit in the balance of payments, and to implement a stable monetary policy, i.e. to maintain exchange rate stability. We expect that by year’s end gross international reserves would amount €17 billion,” RBA analysts said.
