The Presidents of China and Serbia will verify an economic package to secure $1.5 billion worth of capital investments in infrastructure in Serbia, Belgrade daily Vecernje Novosti reported on Friday.
The daily said that Presidents Aleksandar Vucic and Xi Jinping will sign the package of at least 10 contracts during Vucic’s visit to Beijing on September 18. The contracts are for capital investments in agriculture, industry and IT and traffic and their details have already been agreed.
Vecernje Novosti said that the value of the investment package could be raised if the Chinese Zi Yin company is chosen to take over the RTB Bor mining and smelting complex as a strategic partner.
