July 2018 industrial turnover down 3.2 pct month-on-month

Croatia's industrial turnover in July 2018 fell by 3.2 percent from the previous month, but increased by 1.3 percent compared to July 2017, report released by the state statistics bureau on Friday showed.

Compared with June 2018, industrial turnover declined by 2.9 percent on the domestic market, and by 8.6 percent on the foreign market.

Month-on-month, energy sales fell the most, by 20.4 percent. Sales of capital goods dropped by 11.2 percent, sales of durable consumer goods by 3.4 percent, sales of intermediate goods by 1.7 percent, and those of non-durable consumer goods by 1 percent.

Compared with July 2017, industrial turnover increased by 1.3 percent, with domestic turnover dropping by 1 percent, and foreign turnover increasing by 6.7 percent.

Year-on-year, energy sales increased by 23.6 percent, intermediate goods sales by 4 percent, and consumer non-durables sales by 0.7 percent, while sales of consumer durables fell by 0.2 percent, and those of capital goods by 9 percent.
