President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic on Thursday met with Russia's Prosecutor General Yury Chaika during his one-day working visit to Croatia at the invitation of Croatia's chief state prosecutor, Drazen Jelenic.
Grabar-Kitarovic said that Croatia was working to build friendly relations with Russia, as well as improve the dialogue between institutions, the press release from the president’s office said.
Chaika said the cooperation was good between Croatia’s State Prosecutor’s Office and the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation.
He said the cooperation between the two offices was founded on the Cooperation Programme signed in 2012, which was then extended in 2017 in Sochi during Croatian president’s visit to the Russian Federation, the press release said.
Chaika said he was impressed with today’s meeting in the Chief State Prosecutor’s Office and talks with Chief State Prosecutor Drazen Jelenic and that he had invited him for an official visit to Russia.
