Croatia's August 2018 industrial turnover up 6.1 pct

In August 2018 Croatia's industrial turnover inched up by 0.7 percent compared to the previous month, and by 6.1 percent compared to August 2017, recently published data from the state statistics bureau showed.

Month-on-month, industrial turnover increased by 4.6 percent on the domestic market, but dropped by 5.1 percent on the foreign market.

Sales of capital goods increased the most (6.2 percent), followed by durable consumer goods (5.2 percent) and energy (1.9 percent). Sales of non-durable consumer goods fell by 0.5 percent, while sales of intermediate goods remained unchanged from July.

Year-on-year, industrial turnover increased by 8.3 percent on the domestic market, and by 0.8 percent on the foreign market. Energy sales were up by 33.8 percent, sales of consumer durables by 9.7 percent, intermediate goods by 5.5 percent, and capital goods by 3.6 percent.
