The average net salary in Zagreb in September 2018 was 7,199 kuna (€971.5), inching down 0.6 percent from August, but still 3.4 percent up from September 2017, the city statistics bureau said.
Compared to Croatia’s national average in September, which amounted to 6,195 kuna (€836), the average net pay in the capital city was higher by 16.2 percent, or some 1,000 kuna (€135).
The mean net salaries paid in Zagreb over the first nine months of 2018 was 7,234 kuna (€976).
By sector, the highest average salary was in oil and gas industry, with 11,210 kuna (€1,513), while the lowest salaries, of 4,060 kuna (€548) and 4,072 kuna (€550), were paid in the clothing and metal industries.
